Financial industry veteran Akbar Sheriff has joined the advisory Board of OnCorps. “I am delighted to welcome Akbar as a Senior Advisor to OnCorps,” said Bob Suh, Founder and CEO. “Akbar brings a strong strategic perspective, along with a deep understanding of OnCorps’ client base.”

Akbar has 20 years of experience across financial services, technology, and strategic consulting with a focus on growing client-centric, tech-enabled businesses. Over the last 9 years, he held multiple global and regional leadership roles across State Street (NYSE:STT). Prior to State Street he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company where he served financial services firms across strategy, risk, and digital transformation. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board, State Street Fund Services Ireland, and has been on Boards for a range of fintechs.

Akbar holds a Masters in Management Sciences and Engineering from Stanford University, and a dual Bachelors in Mechanical and Manufacturing engineering from Northwestern University where he also competed nationally as part of the men’s fencing team.
